CHANCE Children’s Home provides comprehensive care and protection for children aged 2-18 who have been identified by the South African children’s court as needing a safe and nurturing environment. Operating from Dunnottar, Nigel, on the east of Johannesburg, the home serves children from surrounding communities such as Kwa Themba, Duduza, Springs, Nigel, and Brakpan.
Facilities
Residential Housing
8 houses, each with a bathroom and toilet, given by gender and age. Each house is staffed with a care worker to meet the children’s daily needs.
Dining Facilities
A kitchen and dining room where children receive their 3 nutritous daily meals.
Learning and Development Areas
A computer room and library for skill development and research. A study room for homework and focused study.
Recreational Spaces
A netball and soccer field for sports and exercise. TV room for movies, documentaries, and entertainment.
Health Care
Fully equipped sick bay on our premises, comfortable area where children can receive basic medical attention, recover from minor illnesses, or rest while awaiting further treatment if needed.
